I wore a gray t shirt with a large American flag emblazed on it and black shorts. My mother was 5’9 and wore a leather jacket and Buddy Holly glasses. You may remember that I mumbled a lot,ruined Africa for everyone by singing along,told a dude in the back to be patient,and was one of the only few on the lawn (besides maybe 4 people,including you) that contributed their phone flashlight during Island in the Sun. (He needs as much light as he can get,you may recall me saying.) Describe the person you are trying to find? A man somewhere in his early to mid 40s with short black hair. You were wearing black shorts,gray t shirt, and either a black or blue baseball cap (it was hard to see because it was so dark). Either your daughter or niece (I forgot which one it was) was with you and she was around 8-11 ish with long red hair and a black sweatshirt with the W Weezer logo on it in some sort of neon rainbow fashion. What attracted you to them? His nice smile,infectious enthusiasm,and the patience and dedication required to make a handmade bracket to determine the best Weezer song. (PS,I just want to be friends,I swear) What were they or you doing when you saw them, did you interact in anyway? We interacted 3 times. 1.We were waiting for Weezer to start. You were showing your daughter/niece (DN,for short) your bracket. She said “Play it for me before (Girl We Got A) Good Thing.” You played the song on your Spotify,and she instantly remembered,but disagreed with your choice. You then turned around to me and asked “(Title of the song)?” as if you knew I was eavesdropping (I’m sorry). I meekly nodded my head in agreement and you high fived me and said something along the lines of “See? I told you!” and talked how the album the song was from was unarguably the best one. 2.The band played the intro to a song. I told my mother how this was the first Weezer song I’d ever listened to. You turned around and gave me another high five. 3.During the cover of “Take on Me”,you came up to my mom and I and said something along the lines of “My DN actually said to me they’re gonna cover Take on Me,randomly!” We were next to each other the entire concert until sometime during Say It Ain’t So. How often have you seen them? Only once What do you want to say to them? I think I didn’t quite get your outfit right. For that I apologize. My memory is awful. I was going to go and talk to you at the end of the concert,but my shyness got in the way. You were so kind to talk to me,even though it was just for those few,fleeting moments. Your passion for the band is evident,and I can’t believe you found the time not only to do the bracket,but actually choose which Weezer song is the best! We never exchanged names,so I went here in the hopes of finding you and having a nice conversation. You’re clearly very confident and intelligent,and your friendship would mean so much to me.
