To the One Who Got Away, It was a summer night in Cape Cod. We were in line to order food at Arnold's Clam Bar in Cape Cod, and you and I spotted each other. I was 11 years old, and can only hope to assume that you were roughly the same. We could not stop glancing at each other, and eventually we smiled. You had sparkles on your cheeks and brown hair. It was the first time a girl had ever made me feel that way. Wanted. When you were in the restaurant, it was hard for me to not feel like I was staring at you. You sat at the other end of the restaurant. We ate clams and seafood with our families and then you left. I saw you one more time. You were in the parking lot eating ice cream with an older woman, and we shared one more glance before we got in the car. I should have said something. Anything at all. There was no Facebook or cell phones. But I should have tried. Before I left your life forever, we looked at each other one more time through my car window, like I should have pulled over and run out and talked to you. I HAVE TO FIND YOU.

Something they should know?
What was the last thing you remember me doing before I never saw you again?
