Just Terri Lynn Windcrest, Texas The Message It was about 8:30 p.m. on a right Friday night, Labor Day weekend 2010. It was pouring down raining. I got out of an orange Dodge Caliber. I'm 5'6 and t that time about a 180 pounds and a black female with short hair. I'm now about 15 pounds lighter and eating healthier. He was approximately 5'10" to 6'0" and a white male and driving a white pick up truck. He went inside to pay for something and came back out to me and said excuse me......I just have to tell you you're pretty. I thanked him and told him he was handsome and he finished pumping his gas! I dated exclusively white men but because I was about 35 pounds overweight, I was self-conscious about the weight gain and didn't realize that he saw my natural beauty at the time, He was genuinely attracted to me and I have wondered what if I had the confidence to say how I felt inside at the time! I really think he was the one that got away and hope that he is somewhere wishing he had said a little more to me after my compliment back to him. Something they should know?
