Your red dress and dark hair captivated me as we danced to the few remaining songs before the band quit for the night. I told you we could dance for the last hour but you had to go. I was too nervous to ask for your number then, but when you returned my heart leapt and you asked me of mine. Out of my own thoughtless I didn't go for my phone or even reach for the notebook in my shirt pocket but now I wait on baited breath, hoping that you'd call.
